Transform the lives of girls and women through access to culture, education and sport, fostering citizenship and seeking diversity and inclusion.
In five years, we intend to become a reference center in dance and culture teaching and research in Brazil, in addition to expanding our field of action in sports and educational modalities, promoting gender equity.
We are an institution based on ethics, love, excellence in teaching, empathy, honesty and diversity.

Circus classes utilize circus techniques as an artistic and educational tool, contributing to the physical and creative development of students. This modality works on balance, strength, motor coordination, concentration, and confidence, while simultaneously stimulating teamwork, overcoming challenges, and artistic expression, promoting inclusion and social transformation.
Jazz classes allow students to engage with a dynamic and expressive language, characterized by rhythm, musicality, and improvisation. This style stimulates creativity, stage presence, and freedom of movement, expanding the dancers' artistic repertoire.
Classical ballet offers a comprehensive training based on three fundamental pillars: technique, musicality, and interpretation. The practice develops discipline, concentration, body awareness, and artistic sensitivity, allowing students to express themselves as individuals and apply these skills to other areas of their lives.
Contemporary Dance proposes the investigation of movement and body expression, encouraging creative autonomy. This modality works with emotions, narratives, and different possibilities of the body on stage, strengthening the artistic identity of the students.
Urban dances bring students closer to peripheral cultures and urban life, promoting belonging, self-esteem, and expression. Through hip hop and its variations, students develop rhythm, body awareness, and teamwork.
Ballroom dancing encourages interaction, respect, and partnership, as well as developing coordination, musicality, and posture. This style strengthens social skills and the connection between body, rhythm, and interaction.
Theater contributes to the development of communication, imagination, and emotional expression. Classes encourage self-awareness, listening, teamwork, and narrative construction, broadening the artistic and human development of participants.
Boxing is offered as a practice aimed at strengthening the physical and emotional well-being of girls and women. The sport develops discipline, self-control, self-confidence, and endurance, as well as promoting well-being, autonomy, and female empowerment.
Manguinhos is placed in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro and one of the biggest neighborhoods constituted by favelas in our city. Because of its extension, we hold many social projects that assist with education, health care and accessibility for those who live here. One great example is The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, the greatest research center in Brazil.
In the year 2000, its Human Development Index (HDI), was 0.726 - the 122nd among 126 regions in the city of Rio de Janeiro at the time.
Since the 80s, Manguinhos has been suffering an economic drain. This is happening because of its great rate of violence, leading industries around it to shut down or to transfer their business to other locations.
Favela is a fertile ground to cultural creativity.Manguinhos has a rich and plural culture which are unknown to outsiders (and even delegitimized by some):Passinho, Capoeira, cultural gatherings, rap battles, graffiti, Samba schools, Classical Ballet, Circus and Jazz are some of them. It is the mix between art and life that makes hope to be addressed as culture.
